goat|suck|er «GOHT SUHK uhr», noun.
any one of a family of birds having large, flat heads, wide mouths fringed with stiff bristles, and long wings; nightjar. Whippoorwills and nighthawks are goatsuckers. Goatsuckers fly at dusk or at night and feed on flying insects.
